Join our team as an Overhead Transmission Apprentice Lineperson! In this exciting role, you will play a vital part in building, maintaining, and repairing overhead transmission lines. Work under the guidance of skilled professionals including the Foreperson, General Foreperson, Project Manager, and Supervisor. An openness to travel is essential for this position.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, connection, and rigging in high-voltage environments.
- Erect, frame, and replace poles as necessary.
- Operate aerial trucks, digger derricks, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Help in constructing transmission and substation facilities.
- Work on various types of transmission line structures at voltages from 69 kV to 500 kV.
- Follow OSHA and company/corporate safety regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to climb wood poles, steel poles, and lattice steel towers without assistance.
- Comfortable working at heights exceeding 100 feet.
- Able to drive assigned line crew vehicles.
Education & Experience:
- Prior experience with digger derricks and bucket trucks is required.
Pre-Screen:
- Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
License & Certifications:
- CDL is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel and work away from home is essential.

- CONTINUOUS: Standing, Walking, Sense of Touch, Speaking Clearly, Seeing Distant, Seeing, Reaching, Range of Motion, Hearing-Speech Range, Depth Perception, Color Vision, Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting Over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., Balancing, Lifting up to 10 lbs., and Lifting Up to 50 lbs. (up to 100%)
Safety:
Due to the inherent risks of working with hazardous equipment, employees must possess good eyesight for judging distances and coordination of tools, maintain focus on tasks for extended periods, endure different weather conditions while performing duties, and wear personal protective equipment as needed. Responsibilities include repeatedly entering and exiting vehicles, traversing diverse terrains, effectively communicating with team members, and understanding written and verbal instructions.
- Maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including emergency recovery situations.
- Work in close proximity to hazardous equipment and energized parts.
- Handle excessive noise from machinery with appropriate hearing protection.
- Perform tasks at varying heights and in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
