Role description

Leads the architecture and strategic evolution of the global network. The L3 Network engineer to design zero-trust frameworks, optimiz BGP peering for multi-cloud environments, and build automation pipelines to eliminate manual configuration errors.

Network Automation: Developing Python scripts or Ansible playbooks to automate "ZTP" (Zero Touch Provisioning) for new remote sites or cloud VPCs. Strategic Design: Designing SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) architectures to replace legacy hub-and-spoke VPN models. Complex Troubleshooting: Acting as the final escalation point for "site-down" emergencies or complex routing loops involving BGP, OSPF, or MPLS. Cloud Integration: Provisioning and securing transit gateways and ExpressRoutes/DirectConnects between on-prem datacenters and AWS/Azure/GCP. Capacity & Performance: Analyzing global traffic patterns to plan for 100G backbone upgrades or identifying "noisy neighbors" in virtualized environments.

Network Architecture & Strategy: Ability to design SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and Zero Trust (ZTNA) frameworks that replace traditional hardware-dependent perimeters. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced proficiency in Python, Ansible, and Terraform to automate "Day 0" provisioning and "Day 2" compliance auditing across global sites. Complex Routing & Fabric Design: Expertise in high-level service provider protocols including BGP (Path Selection/Attributes), MPLS, and modern datacenter fabrics like VXLAN/EVPN on Aruba AOS-CX or Cisco Nexus. SD-WAN & SD-Branch: Designing traffic steering policies and orchestration logic for Aruba EdgeConnect (Silver Peak) or Cisco Viptela to optimize multi-cloud application performance. Policy & Security Engineering: Designing the logic behind Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager, including dynamic profiling and automated threat response through integration with SIEM/EDR tools. Strategic Leadership: Leading large-scale network migrations (e.g., datacenter consolidations) and acting as the final point of escalation for "Zero-Day" outages or architectural flaws.
