Job Description
General Duties:
1. Meets all responsibility requirements established by management.
2. Data entry
3. Light lab duties (embedding, organizing paraffin blocks, changing reagents in automated lab equipment, loading microscope slides on automated stainers, loading tissue processors, etc.)
4. Receives laboratory telephone calls.
5. Scans and files documents as needed.
G- Grossing
6. Performs related clerical and cleaning duties.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by superiors.
Required Skills
· 24 semester hours of science courses that include six semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination (preferred but not required).
· Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
· Must be able to type at least 40 wpm.
· Accuracy (in every facet) is a must.
· Laboratory and/or histology experience preferred.
· Must be able to function under time pressure.
· Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
· Must be detail oriented.
· Excellent hand and eye coordination.
Required Experience:
