Job Description
About the role
Urbanicity is looking for a Video Editor & Content Manager who lives and breathes short-form video and real estate content. You'll be the engine behind nearly all of our real estate media — shooting, cutting, scripting, and publishing high-volume content (around 10 posts a day) across all our channels. If you scroll Reels and TikToks thinking "I could've cut that better," we want to talk.
This is a hands-on creative role with real ownership. One day you're flying a drone over a new listing, the next you're scripting a hook, editing a walkthrough, and managing the comment section. We move fast, post often, and care a lot about both quality and quantity.
What you'll do
- Edit videos — fast turnaround, scroll-stopping cuts for social
- Record videos on-site at listings and around the city
- Help script-write and brainstorm content ideas
- Post all real estate content across every Urbanicity Homes account (high volume — around 10 posts per day)
- Manage and respond to comments across our accounts
- Write a daily email summarizing the day's posted media to clients during their pre-offer presentation period (7–8 days), keeping them in the loop on their listing
What we're looking for
- 1–3 years of video editing and content experience (strong portfolio or reel matters more than years)
- A sharp eye for short-form video, pacing, and trends
- Comfortable both behind the camera and in the edit
- Organized and reliable — you can juggle a high posting volume without dropping the ball
- Solid writing skills for scripts and client emails
- Self-starter who thrives working mostly remote
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable car — you'll be traveling to listings and sites
- Able to be on-site in the Hamilton area 1–2 days per week as needed
- Available to work mostly remote the rest of the time
- Please note: travel expenses are not covered, and a personal vehicle is required
Gear & equipment
We've got you covered. We supply a drone, microphones, a Sony ZV-E10 II, and a work phone. Prefer your own setup? Using your own gear is encouraged too.
