SEO Specialist Needed – New Zealand Real Estate Website
Overview
We're a boutique web design and digital agency building a high-end real estate website for a client selling homes across New Zealand. We need an experienced SEO specialist who knows the NZ search landscape deeply and can develop and execute a strategy that ranks this site at the top of Google NZ for competitive real estate keywords.
This is a consulting + execution role. We want someone who can audit, strategize, and get hands-on with implementation alongside our web team.
What the Project Involves
Keyword research focused on NZ real estate - regional, city, and suburb-level targeting
Location page strategy - we're building 50+ geo-targeted pages and need them structured to rank
Technical SEO audit and recommendations (Core Web Vitals, schema, crawlability, indexation)
On-page SEO across all key pages - meta titles, H1s, internal linking architecture
Local SEO setup - Google Business Profile, NZ citations, directory listings
Schema markup strategy for real estate listings (RealEstateListing, LocalBusiness, etc.)
Content brief creation for location pages and blog
Backlink strategy targeting NZ-based domains and property/finance media
Ongoing reporting via Google Search Console and GA4
You're a Great Fit If You Have
Proven experience ranking real estate or property websites in New Zealand
Deep familiarity with NZ search behavior, local intent, and the NZ link ecosystem
Strong technical SEO skills - you can speak to developers clearly
Hands-on experience with Ahrefs or Semrush, Screaming Frog, GSC, and GA4
Examples of NZ-specific SEO wins you can walk us through - rankings, traffic growth, lead results
Experience with suburb/city/region location page strategies at scale
