2D Animator for Bodycam Reaction YouTube Channel (Stickman Style, Ongoing)

Hiring a 2D character animator for a long-form YouTube channel pivoting to a new format: an anonymous ex-cop persona, played by a minimal stickman in police uniform, reacts to and breaks down real bodycam footage. The character is the voice of the channel made visual.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING

An editor handles the bodycam footage, cuts, pacing, and final assembly. Your job is purely the animation. The character takes the screen during voiceover moments, reacts, gestures, points, acts out the commentary, sometimes with secondary characters or environment. Sometimes a small overlay in a corner, sometimes a full-screen takeover with the animated room or scene.

Most of each video is real bodycam, so you're not animating 25 minutes per video. You're animating the takeover moments only.

STYLE

Minimal clean lines, simple round faces, light rubberhose. Think Alex Meyers or Sr Pelo, not overly polished or fluid. We have a character reference and sample VO ready to share once we connect.

WHAT TO SEND

Your portfolio is the application. I'm looking for existing reel work that shows:

Character animation tied to a VO (not a static PNG sliding around)

At least one moment of a character taking the full frame with a secondary character or environment

Clean rigging and timing

Stickman, rubberhose, or similarly minimal style work

HOW THE WORK STARTS

If your work matches what I'm after, I'll send over the full brief, Drive folder with character reference, script, and VO, and we'll agree a per-video rate based on workload. First paid video goes out from there.

AI is fine as a tool, not as the output. If I can see it in the final animation (generic motion, mismatched assets) it's a no.
