Position Summary
UHN Data & Analytics supports UHN’s growing demand for data and data-driven insights, and helps TeamUHN ensure the needs of the patients come first. Our collective goal is to better see, understand and use data to help UHN become a data-driven organization, which will help us achieve UHN’s strategic goals and ultimately advance care, research and education. UHN Data & Analytics supports UHN in data-driven decisions, data literacy, performance improvement, data governance, analytics, and automation as well as advances these capabilities through collaboration across the organization.
Within UHN Data & Analytics, the Data Strategy, Governance & Analytics Team is responsible for establishing organizational data governance, advancing data literacy and data operations efficiency, and enabling UHN to develop advanced analytical capabilities that inform and support its strategic pursuits in care, discovery, and learning.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will support UHN Data Academy by coordinating administrative operations, planning and executing events, and helping implement initiatives that advance UHN’s data assets as a strategic advantage. In this role, you will contribute to seamless day-to-day business functions, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support initiatives that improve care delivery, business operations, and organizational efficiency.
- An Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 1-2 years of related industry experience in project or operational management
- Demonstrated experience supporting multiple deliverables or projects of medium scope/complexity from initiation to close-out, including effective planning, requirements gathering, workflow mapping, schedule, issue tracking, and risk mitigation
- Lead projects of small scope/complexity
- Ability to plan and conduct requirements gathering, workflow/data mapping, and application testing
- Demonstrated experience coordinating end-to-end events, including venue booking, scheduling, logistics, and on-site execution.
- Proven ability to provide administrative support, including registration tracking, inbox coordination, and document preparation.
- Experience supporting financial and procurement activities, including cost analyses, invoice processing, expense tracking, and financial analysis and summaries.
- Demonstrated analytical experience in developing clear, audience-appropriate presentation and communication materials to support event planning, promotion, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent facilitation, inter-personal, and written/oral communications skills
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Detail-oriented, adaptive, and client-focused
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, instructors, vendors, and participants
- Strong analytical and business analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize information, identify requirements and insights, and translate them into clear, actionable communication and presentation materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools (e.g., Excel, Outlook, MS Forms, Power Automate) to manage workflows, communications, and reporting
- Project Management certification is an asset
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices is an asset
- Knowledge of trends and frameworks in data literacy and analytics competencies is an asset
- Knowledge of trends and frameworks in the development and delivery of learning curriculum is an asset
- Experience working in a complex, public sector organization or healthcare institution is an asset
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), especially those in the healthcare education sectors (e.g., Moodle, Canvas) is an asset
- Experience with PowerBI and other data visualization and analytics tools is an asset
