Sr Data Governance Analyst

Location: Rockville, MD - 3 days Hybrid

Business Analyst with data exposure/Business Data Analyst/ Data Librarian

• Most of this role is documentation.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Data Management, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to enterprise data governance programs in complex environments.
• Solid knowledge of data quality, metadata management, data architecture, and data lineage.
• Proficient with data analysis and visualization tools for insights and communication.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to management and stakeholders.
• Experience with stakeholder management, including the ability to build relationships and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business language for non-technical audiences.
• Experience participating in or supporting committees, working groups, and collaborative forums.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently while appropriately escalating issues.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative team player across organizational boundaries.
