Manager & PR & Media Relations

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all public relations activities with stakeholders such as authors, wholesalers, and distributors. You will leverage existing media relationships and establish new contacts within business and industry media. Managing media inquiries and interview requests will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will create content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations. Evaluating opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis, as well as building relationships with thought leaders to enhance industry awareness, will be crucial. You will also be tasked with developing a media relations strategy to secure high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.

To succeed in this role, you must be a confident communicator and presenter. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills, as well as being proactive, reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented are essential. Strong relationship building with industry media outlets, good writing and editing skills, and event planning experience are advantageous. A BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline is a plus.
