We are seeking a motivated and energetic Gardener/Helper to join our dynamic landscaping and horticulture team. Duties
- You will be on-site 3 days at Tysons Corner Suites and the other 2 days in Alexandria
- Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Support irrigation setup and maintenance to ensure proper watering systems are functioning efficiently
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as trimming, digging, planting, and lawn care
- Help with greenhouse operations including plant propagation, transplanting, and general upkeep
- Maintain landscape features by mowing lawns, edging beds, raking leaves, and removing debris
- Aid in farm or agricultural activities like soil preparation, crop tending, and pest control
- Support overall landscape maintenance by ensuring outdoor areas are clean, organized, and well-kept
Skills
- Knowledge of gardening techniques and horticulture principles
- Experience with irrigation systems and greenhouse management preferred
- Growing experience in farming or landscape projects is highly desirable
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, and aeration
- Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes; proficiency with power tools is a plus
- Understanding of landscape maintenance routines and agricultural practices
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety awareness when handling equipment
