Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, including math, computer science, and other core areas, to help students improve their understanding and confidence. Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s needs
• Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding key concepts in subjects such as math, computer science, and special education topics
• Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual learning styles
• Use effective teaching methods to engage students and promote active learning
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
• Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate students and build their confidence
• Utilize computer skills to incorporate educational technology and resources into sessions
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred
• Strong background in subjects such as math, computer science, or special education is advantageous
• Classroom experience or teaching background is a plus
• Familiarity with tutoring techniques and educational best practices is desirable
• Experience using computers for instructional purposes or educational software is beneficial
• Previous experience working with diverse learners or students requiring special education support is a plus

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
