Technical Writer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Writer role based in Jamshedpur. The Technical Writer will create, update, and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for Traffic Dash’s products, tools, and processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, engineers, and support teams to gather information, drafting and revising user guides, API documentation, and release notes, and ensuring all materials follow established style guides and standards. The role also involves organizing content in a logical structure, managing documentation versions, and incorporating stakeholder feedback. The Technical Writer will help improve internal documentation practices and contribute to knowledge base and training materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong technical communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, concise language.
• Experience creating and managing technical documentation and manuals for software, tools, or technical processes.
• Ability to plan, structure, and maintain documentation sets, including user guides, FAQs, and release notes.
• Proficiency with documentation tools (such as MS Office, Google Docs, Markdown, or help authoring tools) and basic familiarity with project tracking systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
• Experience working with engineering or product teams and interpreting technical specifications or system behavior.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working on-site in Jamshedpur and collaborating in a fast-paced, iterative environment; experience in transportation, mobility, or SaaS is a plus.
