Position Overview

The Sales Associate is responsible for guiding customers through the selection and purchase of flooring products while delivering a high‑touch, consultative experience. This role involves showroom and in‑home sales, building lasting customer relationships, managing projects from first consultation through installation, and representing Towne Pride’s commitment to quality and professionalism. Pay is hourly rate plus commissions.

Duties

• Greet and assist customers in the showroom; identify needs, preferences, lifestyle considerations, and budget
• Assist with in‑home consultations and measurements when required
• Recommend appropriate flooring solutions including carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, tile, and area rugs
• Clearly explain product features, warranties, installation processes, and maintenance expectations
• Prepare accurate quotes & proposals and confirm product selections

Required Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer‑first mindset with a consultative sales approach
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning internal sales tools
• Knowlege of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills

• Flooring, home improvement, or interior design sales experience
• Knowledge of flooring products (training provided)
• Previous showroom or commissioned sales experience
