Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Billing Specialist to join our dental team. As a Dental Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing dental claims submissions, verifying patient information, and ensuring timely reimbursement. Your expertise in dental billing will be essential to optimize revenue cycles and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit dental insurance claims
• Review and verify patient records, treatment plans, and billing information for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through dental collections processes to secure proper reimbursement.
• Ensure compliance with insurance policies related to dental billing.
• Collaborate with dental practitioners to interpret treatment documentation for accurate billing procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of billing transactions, adjustments, and payments for auditing purposes.
• Stay updated on changes in dental coding standards, insurance policies, and industry best practices to enhance billing efficiency.

Skills

• Strong understanding of dental billing processes within dental practice.
• Experience with dental collection procedures to resolve outstanding balances effectively.
• Familiarity with dentrix dental system.
• Knowledge of dental insurance claims and EOB's.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex billing data accurately.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with insurance providers and patients.
