As a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional, your role will involve testing, inspection, and quality assurance of GIS bays, sub-assemblies, and local control cubicles to ensure compliance with international standards and organizational requirements.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform performance and functional testing on GIS bays, sub-assemblies, and local control cubicles.
- Prepare quality-related documentation such as MQP, FAT, specifications, work instructions, records, and reports.
- Handle SF6 gas equipment, high-voltage test systems, and PD measurement equipment.
- Coordinate and manage customer witness inspections and supplier audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product inspection/testing and resolution of non-conformities.
- Maintain and control documents and records as per QMS, OHSAS, EMS, and NABL (ISO/IEC 17025) requirements.
- Analyze in-house issues and provide feedback to production and engineering for corrective actions.
- Initiate corrective actions based on process engineering and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Ensure periodic maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Support engineering in the validation of local components.
- Maintain accurate records of calibration and testing activities.
- *Key Skills & Requirements:**
- Strong knowledge of IEC standards: IEC 62271-1, 100, 102, 203, IEC 61869-1, 2, & 3.
- Familiarity with organizational standards: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO/IEC 17025, and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience in testing switchgear products such as Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), CT, VT, LCP, CSD relays, and meters.
- Practical experience in handling SF6 gas, high-voltage test systems, and PD measurement equipment.
- Ability to interpret PD measurement results.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
