The Technology Technician is responsible for the installation and support of Product Link Technology and other equipment support within EM Services, with a primary focus on the Power Systems division.

$59,025.00 to $73,782.50
The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available

In a typical day, YOU will:
- Demonstrates safe work and environmentally sound behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and initiatives.
- Schedules and performs Product Link installations and troubleshooting in the field.
- Conduct repairs to minimize downtime and reduce costs for the Customer
- Completes service reports and work order details efficiently
- Complete before failure CAT Service Letters
- Complete equipment inspections as required
- Perform maintenance inspections
- Perform after hours/on-call/overnight rotations and travel to assigned territories when required.
Must-haves for this role:
- Post Secondary Education (A Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician would be an asset).
- Highly safety conscious with solid experience with electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- Experience in the Heavy Equipment and Construction/Mining industries is an asset.
- Proficient in using basic hand and power tools (including multi-meter) for various maintenance and repair tasks
- Self-motivated with strong initiative, high integrity, and the ability to make independent decisions
- Customer Centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and analytical with excellent relationship management
- Effective time management and planning with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities
- Organized with the ability to maintain a high level of customer service in a fast paced, deadline driven workforce
- Positive team player and proactive in delivering solutions with a sense of urgency
- Process improvement mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Well-developed computer skills and familiarity with Cat Systems would be an asset
- Willing and able to work flexible hours and travel extensively in support of business requirements
- A valid Full Class G Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
