We are a well-established and growing structural restoration company specializing in repair and restoration services. As our business expands, we are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Payroll & Bookkeeping Assistant with strong QuickBooks Online experience to support our day-to-day financial operations. Our team is hands-on, placing great value on accuracy, discretion, and professionalism. Committed to doing things right — both in the field and in the office.
This role will begin on a part-time basis, with the potential to become full-time as the company grows and based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- Assist Finance Manager in tracking hours, overtime, and job-related labor costs
- Ensure payroll compliance with applicable regulations
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees
Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
- Enter and reconcile transactions (bank, credit card, receipts, vendor accounts)
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Assist with invoicing and job costing
- Support month-end reconciliations and reporting
Administrative Support
- Organize financial records and documentation
- Coordinate with management and external accountants (if needed)
- Assist with improving bookkeeping and payroll processes
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
- Payroll processing experience
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Work Schedule
- 2–3 days per week (flexible)
- Potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and company growth
