Duties

• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and boiler systems to ensure peak performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Install, modify, and upgrade HVAC systems according to design specifications and schematics.
• Perform welding, equipment repair, and component replacement on mechanical systems including boilers and ammonia refrigeration units.
• Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems utilizing mechanical knowledge and field service techniques.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs.
• Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport equipment or parts as needed for property maintenance or service calls.

Skills

• Strong understanding of construction principles related to HVAC installation and repair.
• Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans.
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication tasks.
• Excellent field service skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards.
