Thrive Creative is a software development company that embeds as our clients' full engineering department — a Development Department as a Service (DDaaS) model. We build real products for real companies on flexible, usage-based terms. No bloated contracts, no minimums. Just great engineering, delivered like an in-house team.

The Role

Most product roles ask you to own a roadmap. This one asks you to own a relationship and the product it produces — end to end.

Here's what makes it unusual: at most companies, product management, account management, and business development live in three different departments that spend half their time negotiating with each other. Here, they converge in one person. You're the product mind that clients trust, the commercial owner who grows the account, and the translator who keeps engineering pointed at what actually matters. When the roadmap, the relationship, and the revenue all sit with the same person, things move faster and nothing gets lost in the handoff.

You'll take warm relationships from our marketing team and turn them into deep, expanding partnerships. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Product Engineers to shape what gets built. And you'll carry the account commercially — not through a sales quota grind, but by being the person who understands the client's business well enough to see the next opportunity before they do.

We're looking for someone who already has the product instincts and the client gravitas. The specific mechanics of account growth on our model — how we structure engagements, where the expansion opportunities live — we'll teach. What we can't teach is the judgment to know what a client needs and the credibility to be believed when you tell them.

What You'll Own

  • The product direction across your client engagements — scope, roadmap, priorities — in close partnership with Product Engineers
  • The client relationship itself: you're the trusted point of contact, not a status-update relay
  • Account growth: spotting and developing new opportunities inside existing partnerships
  • The translation layer between client business goals and clear, buildable technical requirements
  • Delivery health — keeping engagements on track and clients confident, with sharp communication throughout
  • The feedback loop that brings the voice of the customer back into how we shape our services

Who You Are

  • A seasoned product manager (or technical PM / product-minded consultant) who's carried real ownership over both what gets built and the people it's built for
  • Fluent in both rooms — you can hold a technical scoping conversation with engineers and a strategic one with a client's leadership in the same afternoon
  • Commercially minded, or ready to be. You don't need a sales background, but you should be energized by growing an account, not just maintaining it
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and high autonomy — we're lean, and this role has real latitude
  • Genuinely interested in the business behind the software, not just the software
  • Bonus: agency, consultancy, or services experience; familiarity with tools like ClickUp
