Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Purview to join us on a freelance/contract basis .
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on data engineering professional who can design and implement scalable cloud solutions, build enterprise-grade data platforms, and drive strong data governance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud solutions on AWS
- Build enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric including lakehouse, analytics, and pipelines
- Implement data governance, cataloging, and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview
- Define architecture standards, best practices, and scalable design patterns
- Mentor engineers and ensure delivery of secure, high-quality code
- Collaborate with business teams, architects, and data stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions
- Support CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code practices
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation
- Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Microsoft Purview experience is mandatory
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and .NET
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture, governance, and secure engineering practices.
