The Seasonal Production Assistant will assist with content creation for various ESPN platforms. The role includes assisting the team in multiple facets of production such as producing video elements, transcribing sound, and contributing content ideas.
SEASONAL ROLE: This is a seasonal position for 40 weeks or when 1500 hours have been logged, whichever comes first. Employment may end sooner at the company's discretion based on business needs. This seasonal position is associated with the ESPN NEXT Program but benefits do not apply to this role. There is potential for conversion to a full-time Production Assistant role within the NEXT program, based on performance and the availability of open positions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, accurate, and complete delivery of multimedia content and publish to various platforms.
- Edit video elements and research video content for various games/networks.
- Produce variety of elements: teases, opens, v/o’s and montages for live events.
- Assist with live events by gathering video and sponsorship elements for broadcasts.
- Coordinate graphics for assigned games, telecasts or remote live events.
- Log and archive video and associated data for future use.
Qualifications:
- Conversational knowledge of multiple sports, especially sports heavily covered within ESPN content: Football, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball, Softball, and Gymnastics.
- Ability to comfortably prepare and communicate ideas.
- Must possess professional communication and organization skills.
- React quickly and positively under tight deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Self-starting attitude and team-oriented work ethic.
- Will be scheduled to work nights, mornings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Awareness of ESPN content (i.e. platforms, shows, events, etc.).
- Awareness of media trends (i.e. social, digital, linear, etc.).
- Experience with video editing software (i.e. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut etc.).
- Self-starting attitude and team-oriented work ethic.
- Familiarity with server-based media.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

The pay rate for this role in Charlotte, NC is $22.93 per hour.
