RESTAURANT SERVER/SOMMELIER (HYBRID) – PRIVATE CLUB DINING
Position Title: Server/Sommelier (Hybrid)
Division: Food & Beverage
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Service
Compensation: Range starting from $70,000 - $80,000 annually + extended health benefits and a Health Spending Account

This role combines the sophistication of luxury service with a highly desirable Monday–Friday schedule along with most statutory holidays off.

Position Summary
The Server/Sommelier is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience for Club members and their guests, consistently exceeding expectations through intuitive, refined service.
This hybrid role blends the precision and passion of a sommelier with the presence of a seasoned server, requiring mastery of fine dining standards, strong collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. From preparation to execution, every detail is approached with care, professionalism, and sophistication.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a refined and technically precise sequence of service across all meal periods
- Deliver warm, polished, and anticipatory service to Club members and their guests
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of all menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and the wine program
- Curate and confidently present wine selections, offering thoughtful pairings aligned with menu offerings and member preferences
- Provide tableside wine service with precision, including proper presentation, decanting, and service etiquette
- Actively contribute to the evolution and upkeep of the wine list, including organization, inventory awareness, and cellar practices
- Uphold and embody the standards of a private Club environment, including dress code and elevated service etiquett
- Collaborate seamlessly with culinary and service teams to ensure cohesive food and wine execution
- Participate in pre-service briefings and ongoing education, with a focus on menu changes, wine knowledge, and service refinement
- Execute all opening, side work, and closing duties to exacting standards

Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private club environments (required)
- Proven expertise in elevated service standards and guest engagement
- Strong wine knowledge, including varietals and pairings (formal training an asset)
- Professional presence aligned with a strict dress code environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Serving It Right certification (required)
- FOODSAFE Level 1 certification (required)
- WSET Level 3 and/or CMS certification required; advanced certifications are a bonus
