Job Description: Department Overview: Learning and Development is responsible for the strategic direction and establishment of learning and performance enablement solutions to build capabilities for leaders and employees. The function takes a high-level view to ensure continuous development through on-the-job learning and helping employees perform better in their jobs. It enhances and supports the achievement of business objectives today and for the future. Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Leadership Development the Senior Designer/Developer will design high quality, multi-approach blended learning and performance solutions on a variety of learning projects that support business strategic priorities, enable people strategies and impact key business measures. This individual will also design and develop media, graphics and interactive web-based assets for innovative learning and performance solutions that strengthen Enterprise leadership capabilities, knowledge and performance. Accountabilities: Recommends the most effective blend of instructor-led, hands-on, and web-based learning solutions based on the findings of a learning needs assessment Assesses and identifies business needs/requirements, scoping key design solutions, determining the end deliverables and resources necessary for each project Participates in and contribute to project scoping and planning, setting the standards for the learner experience that will enable learning objectives to be satisfied Works directly with the course owner and/or executive subject matter experts to capture course-specific knowledge and transform into instructionally sound learning materials in multiple modalities Designs / contributes to the design of learning and development programs, including instructional frameworks, content mapping, prototypes or drafts, narrative scripts and storyboards in various delivery methods Responsible for the overall design and/or development/authoring of learning solutions Interprets and develops what the learner sees in terms of graphics, formatting, animations, etc. based on instructional design and subject matter expert input Acts as a subject matter expert with both practical and technical expertise in all areas of instructional design, creative and graphic design, including online content design and paper-based assets while leveraging a combination of typography, photography and illustration Creatively develops all learning solutions (i.e., eLearning/simulations, online performance support tools, presentations, graphic rich deliverables, videos, eBooks, etc.) to be visually engaging while also in alignment with TD Brand standards and guidelines Ensures learner accessibility and principles of diversity and inclusion in developing all learning solutions Contributes to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; providing guidance as appropriate Must haves: Minimum of 10+ years of instructional design/development experience Portfolio of past work in instructional design and development Expert level knowledge of eLearning development using Articulate Storyline 3 or 360 and Rise 360 Strong creative and graphic design skills Expert level knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and experience with other Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word) Experience designing fully accessible solutions following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) Experience designing and developing leadership development programs Experience contributing to projects delivered using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies Nice to haves: Experience developing with GoAnimate/Vyond, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Camtasia video production tools Skilled in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other graphic design components within the Adobe Creative Cloud product suite Experience using Freedom Scientific JAWS screen reader to design fully accessible assets, preferably at a banking or financial institution Proficient knowledge of learning and performance enablement solutions, program design, design inputs for program evaluation, learning consultation, needs analysis, learning instructional design and content design analysis is required Experience designing learning solutions for delivery in the following virtual learning tools: Adobe Connect, WebEx and MS Teams Soft skills: Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines Ability to think strategically and possess strong business acumen Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form Who We Are: TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
