Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager/Bartender to lead our bar operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a lively hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food and beverage knowledge, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests. This role involves managing daily bar activities, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Previous restaurant or hotel experience, along with bartending expertise, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food handling and storage
• Supervise and train bartenders and bar staff to uphold service standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and alcohol licensing laws
• Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs promptly
• Monitor the cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and workstations
• Assist in interviewing and onboarding new team members to build a strong team
• Lead by example in hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism to foster a positive work environment
• Assist / lead in planning and organizing special events

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within the food industry
• Strong background in food service, hospitality, or restaurant management roles
• Demonstrated supervising experience with team management capabilities
• Proficiency with POS systems such as PixelPoint or similar platforms for cash handling
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs effectively
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Leadership qualities with experience in interviewing and training staff
• Ability to manage restaurant or bar operations efficiently under pressure
• Bartending experience or familiarity with beverage preparation is required
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor suitable for supervising staff and interacting with guests

Pay: $20.00-$28.26 per hour
