Job Description
As a Trainer at The Quad, you will be part of a high-performance coaching team delivering impactful fitness experiences both on-ground (in Chennai) and online (virtual classes). This role requires deep coaching presence, clear communication, and high accountability. You will not only support class execution but also lead client follow-ups, prep work, and continuous learning within the team. The Quad is looking for professionals who want to coach with a purpose, focusing on transforming lives through movement and working in dynamic, team-led environments.
- *Responsibilities:**
- **Before Class**
- Read and respond to the class plan shared by your Coach
- Prepare for special cases or client modifications in advance
- Communicate any challenges to your team proactively
- **During Class**
- Arrive early and contribute to setup (for in-person)
- Attend the coaching huddle and clarify your role
- Actively assist during warm-ups, workouts, and stretches
- Coach in your assigned zone and assist with client cues, form corrections, and regressions as needed
- Track attendance and send data to the Ops team post-class
- Participate in post-class debriefs and share client-specific notes
- **After Class**
- Clear the setup and contribute to class wrap-up (in-person)
- Follow up with clients as assigned, via email or during future sessions
- **During Non-Class Hours**
- Be available for meetings, team assignments, and workshops (either in-person or virtual)
- Dedicate at least 3 hours daily to class prep
- Participate in client assessments and onboarding support
- Help conduct community events and workshops
- *Skills & Qualifications:**
- Strong grasp of strength training fundamentals
- Excellent communication and observational skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to The Quads coaching framework
- Prior coaching experience is a plus (internships or assistant roles included)
- Ability to work well in structured team environments
- Comfortable coaching both in-person and online classes
- Certification is not required at the time of applying. It will be a part of your internship training and must be completed during that period.
