Job description

The Psychedelic Society is a mission-led not-for-profit that has offered over 400 transformative events to 10,000+ participants since 2014. We curate workshops, talks, retreats and rituals exploring the edges of consciousness, embodiment, integration, creativity and cultural change.

We’re looking for an ambitious, creative and well-connected Event Coordinator to join our small but mighty team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next wave of community-led offerings in psychedelics, wellness, psychology and the therapeutic arts. You’ll help bring to life events that are visionary, relevant and commercially impactful—from intimate gatherings to large public experiences and masterclasses.

You'll vision, create, manage and promote 1–2 events/month (20–40 capacity), plus at least one larger-scale event per quarter (70+ capacity). This is a creative and strategic role—perfect for someone with a passion for cultural change, a commercial instinct, and a gift for relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Host/coordinate 1–2 events per month and 1 large event per quarter
  • Identify emerging trends and book thought leaders in:
  • Somatic wellness, psychology, movement/art therapy, integration
  • Contemporary topics (e.g. ADHD, self-worth, relational health, attachment theory)
  • Nature connection and science
  • Identify and collaborate with leading names and reputable speakers, facilitators and venues across London and the UK (especially in South & West London)
  • Develop longer-form offerings: online courses, workshops, masterclasses
  • Maintain relationships with facilitators and co-create compelling new offerings
  • Handle all logistics: scheduling, financial management, online listings, ticketing, refunds, email queries
  • Liaise with team (minimum 1 Tuesday meeting/month)
  • Create compelling event visuals and edit/proof event copy
  • Coordinate and create basic content and social media promo
  • Maintain commercial awareness and develop offerings with clear audience pathways
  • Track and meet KPIs for event size and frequency

We’re Looking For Someone Who...

  • Has experience with event production, copywriting, and social media marketing
  • Is passionate about our event themes - especially: psychology consciousness, community, embodiment, integration, nature connection
  • Has a keen eye for the latest trends in psychology, psychedelics, neuroscience and somatic wellness. What’s current, needed, and missing in the field
  • Is strategic and self-directed, yet collaborative
  • Thrives in fast-paced, responsive environments
  • Brings a sharp attention to detail and visual sensibility
  • Communicates with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
  • Has a commercial instinct and is confident negotiating partnerships and deals
  • Feels alignment with our values and is genuinely passionate about our work

Bonus points for...

  • Existing network of potential facilitators, venues or brand partners
  • Interest in content creation and online education
  • Design/branding experience
  • Previous work with therapeutic, psychedelic or personal development organisations
  • Experience developing sales funnels or customer journeys

The details

Location: Remote, London-based with preference for South London/West London

Contract Type: Freelance

Hours & Pay

  • £20/hour, 7 hours/week for first month (£420/month)
  • After first month: commission-based (current coordinators earn an average of £800–£3000/month but the sky’s the limit!)
  • Flexible working hours - you determine when and how much you work
