Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Backend Developer (Node Js). In

this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable

backend systems that power our online platforms. You will play a key role in building

robust APIs, managing databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness

of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Backend Engineer with NodeJS
• Build and manage RESTful APIs to support web applications
• Design and implement robust database schemas and optimize queries for performance
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend components and backend services
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in production
• Implement security best practices to safeguard data and systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Work with AWS infrastructure to support backend services
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

You have 3–5 years of backend development experience with Node.js as your primary stack. You have built and shipped production APIs that real users depend on not just internal tools or prototype-level work. You think about database design before writing a single route. You write code that your colleagues can read and maintain six months later.

On the technical side you should be genuinely strong in Node.js with NestJS or Express, RESTful API design and versioning, PostgreSQL or MySQL with schema design and query optimisation, Redis for caching and session management, JWT authentication and RBAC implementation, Docker and basic CI/CD pipeline management, and AWS services including EC2 and S3. Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka is a strong plus. Any hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Gemini, or working with vector databases for semantic search, will be weighted heavily as this is the direction we are actively moving to.

Beyond the technical requirements, we are looking for someone who communicates clearly, asks the right questions before writing code, and raises a flag early when something doesn't look right. We want someone who is genuinely excited by the problem we are solving, not just the technology stack.

Qualifications

Bachelors/ Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Minimum 3+ years of experience in Backend Development
