Role Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer / Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to build, scale, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure for high-traffic production systems.

This is a full-time, in office role for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) based in Hyderabad. The primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), developing and optimizing software solutions, and establishing best practices in continuous integration and deployment pipelines. The role also involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems while managing Linux-based environments and system administration tasks. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient platforms and innovate in DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Strong background in Software Development, including coding practices, debugging, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, deployment pipelines, and DevOps workflows.
• Extensive experience in Linux system administration and managing distributed systems.
• Proven understanding of system architecture and scaling complex systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges under tight deadlines.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a drive for continuous learning and improvement.

Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and scaling Kubernetes platforms
• Automating cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Building CI/CD pipelines
• Improving platform reliability, monitoring, and performance
• Driving cloud cost optimization and infrastructure governance
• Supporting high-availability production environments

Required Skills

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience managing production-grade cloud infrastructure

Kubernetes & Containers

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Docker & container orchestration
• Cluster scaling, upgrades, networking, troubleshooting
• Experience with Istio, ingress controllers, service mesh

DevOps & CI/CD

• Jenkins / GitHub Actions / CircleCI / ArgoCD
• CI/CD pipeline automation
• GitOps workflows
• Deployment automation and rollback strategies

Monitoring & Observability

Experience with:

• Prometheus
• Grafana
• ELK Stack
• Loki
• Jaeger
• Distributed tracing & centralized logging

Programming / Automation

• Python
• Bash scripting
• Go (good to have)

Reliability Engineering

• SRE concepts (SLO/SLI/SLA)
• Incident management
• Production troubleshooting
• High availability architecture
• Performance optimization

Security

• AWS IAM
• WAF
• GuardDuty
• Security best practices
