Preschool Lead Teacher

Location: The Learning Experience – Sterling, VA

Pay: $19–$21 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Shift Options: 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

The Learning Experience – Sterling is seeking two experienced Preschool Lead Teachers to guide classrooms serving children ages 3–5. This role focuses on supporting kindergarten readiness through structured routines, engaging learning activities, and strong classroom leadership.

This position is ideal for educators who enjoy leading a classroom team while creating a positive and consistent learning environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom instruction for preschool-aged children
• Implement developmentally appropriate learning activities supporting early literacy and math readiness
• Create a structured classroom environment that promotes independence and participation
• Support social-emotional development and positive classroom behavior
• Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and classroom updates
• Maintain compliance with Virginia licensing and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Prior childcare or preschool classroom experience required
• Experience leading a classroom strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
