Duties
As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for overseeing the educational development of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Your duties will include:
- Creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Providing a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Communicating effectively with parents regarding their child's progress
- Developing and maintaining a daily schedule that meets the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of the children
- Collaborating with other teachers to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Monitoring and documenting children's progress and behavior
- Incorporating early intervention techniques when necessary
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- CDA and AA Degree
- 1 year of experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or in a daycare setting
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Familiarity with math concepts suitable for young learners
- Experience or training in areas such as early intervention, deaf education, or special needs education is a plus
