Benefits include dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, paid time off, vision care, wellness program, employee assistance program, and on-site parking.ResponsibilitiesMaintain the safety and security of federal institutions.Supervise and interact with offenders; monitor indicators of risk to people and the institution.Implement security measures as necessary.Conduct routine patrols and inmate counts; supervise inmate movement and escorts inside the institution and in the community.Search cells, offenders, visitors, vehicles, living units, and surrounding areas; conduct security checks.Draft daily logs and submit reports; brief visitors, volunteers, and other professionals who enter the institution.Resolve conflicts and build professional relationships; work as part of a multidisciplinary team.Qualifications and RequirementsEducation:

Secondary school diploma or approved equivalent (PSC test) or provincial/territorial equivalency; degree equivalency may be considered.Occupational Certification:

Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) with AED, as required by provincial/territorial standards.Language:

English or bilingual (as region requires); regional language requirements vary by area.Medical:

Must meet Health Canada medical standards; successful completion of a medical assessment to determine ability to perform duties, with results valid for 1 year.Psychological:

Must meet CSC psychological requirements.Reliability and Security:

Enhanced Reliability Status.Driver's license:

Valid unrestricted driver's license; province-specific requirements; Quebec requires Class 4A for Emergency Vehicle where applicable.Operational readiness:
