Full Time Temporary Maternity Leave

Shift: Monday- Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

SUMMARY

The Communications & Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing strategic communications, marketing, advertising, and public relations programs. The goal is to strengthen the brand, increase visibility, and generate qualified leads that support organizational growth. The role also involves supervising a team, ensuring brand consistency, and working closely with senior leadership and external partners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop the Communications and Marketing team.
  • Align team activities with company goals and maintain high standards.
  • Provide strategic direction and ensure unified brand messaging across channels.
  • Develop and manage multi-channel marketing plans.
  • Oversee design, advertising, PR, digital initiatives, and internal communications.
  • Approve major content and advertising materials.
  • Partner with Sales to create lead-generating campaigns.
  • Work with digital agencies on SEO, Google Ads, and website optimization.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet their communication needs.
  • Manage internal branding and employee engagement messaging.
  • Support executive communications (speeches, presentations, etc.).
  • Lead PR efforts, media relations, and community engagement.
  • Provide input on marketing budgets.
  • Track campaign performance and optimize based on analytics.
  • Identify CSR opportunities and request budgets for community involvement.
  • Support planning and execution of trade shows and events.
  • Manage the Erb Gear swag store.
  • Oversee crisis communication plan execution.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary in Communications, Marketing, PR, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years in communications/marketing.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong command of digital marketing, brand strategy, and public relations.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal).
  • Skilled in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Ads, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite, CMS platforms, and SEO.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time salaried position based on a 45-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours or on alternate shifts. Overtime may be required.
  • Manual dexterity required for computer and peripheral use.
