Job Description

This is a full-time, field-based role with The Core Group, ATEC’s exclusive distributor. You will work directly in the operating room, support surgeons during procedures, manage cases, and learn the business from the ground up.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide operating room case coverage and technical support for spine procedures
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, hospital staff, and customers
  • Assist with product preparation, inventory management, and case logistics
  • Learn and effectively communicate technical product knowledge and medical terminology
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Support after-hours and weekend cases as required
  • Travel within territory to support accounts and team needs
  • Participate in training, sales meetings, and national/area events
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-driven approach to challenges
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in hospital and surgical environments

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 2+ years business-to-business sales experience or equivalent
  • Ability to provide after-hours and weekend case support as needed
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure operating room environments
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, tablets, and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to quickly learn technical and medical terminology
  • Strong work ethic, competitive drive, and goal-oriented mindset
  • Ability to travel within territory and support other regions when needed
  • Must be available on a 24-hour basis for customer emergencies when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year medical device sales experience
  • Spine or orthopedic sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or related field
  • Background in biology, anatomy, or technical field
  • Understanding of spinal anatomy and OR protocols
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships
  • Self-starter with ability to meet aggressive goals
  • Team-oriented with collaborative mindset
  • Experience in healthcare, surgical, or hospital environments
