Job description

Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Remote Role: Must be located in the GTA for in-person client shoots and site visits

A portfolio of social media content (Reels, posts, and on-location shoots) is required. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a passion for social media and a keen eye for design. This role combines strategy and creativity to execute engaging social media campaigns and create visually stunning content that aligns with our clients' goals.

This position is remote, but candidates must reside in the GTA and be able to travel to client locations regularly to concept, direct, and film on-site content.

ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement social media strategies that align with client goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices to inform strategies and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define target audiences and develop content tailored to resonate with them.

Content Creation & On-Location Production

  • Design and produce high-quality social media content, including graphics, short-form videos, Reels, and posts, using Canva, CapCut, and other tools.
  • Concept and direct client shoots in person, bringing a creative vision to life on location.
  • Plan and execute on-site content shoots, capturing photography, video, and behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Film on location and edit footage into polished, platform-ready content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and maintains a professional yet creative tone.

Client & Community Engagement

  • Manage in-person client relationships on shoots, acting as the on-site point of contact and keeping the experience smooth and professional.
  • Monitor, engage with, and respond to followers across all social media platforms to foster positive relationships and brand loyalty.

Performance Tracking

  • Analyze key social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Prepare performance reports with insights and actionable recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in social media coordination, content creation, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Canva with a strong eye for design and branding consistency.
  • Social media photography and video skills are required, including the ability to film on location and edit Reels using CapCut or similar tools.
  • Comfortable concepting and directing shoots, and managing client relationships in person on set.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A balance of creativity and strategic thinking to develop content that drives engagement and supports client objectives.
  • Must be based in the GTA with the ability to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social) is a plus.
