Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef specializing in Kerala & South Indian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in preparing authentic dishes, especially dosa, traditional Kerala specialties, and South Indian breakfast and curry items.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and premium dining concept in Brampton. The right candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of authentic flavors while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic dosa varieties, Kerala dishes, and South Indian cuisine with consistency and quality
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Oversee daily kitchen activities, including food safety, hygiene, and quality control
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion standards
- Manage inventory, food costing, and ordering supplies as needed
- Develop and contribute to menu innovation while maintaining authentic flavors
- Train and mentor team members to build a strong and positive kitchen culture
Requirements
- Proven experience in South Indian / Kerala cuisine (mandatory)
- Strong skills in dosa preparation and live cooking (tawa experience preferred)
- Leadership experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
- Passion for authentic cooking and team management
