Job Overview
Wholesale distributor of labeling and packaging products in western Nassau, LI is seeking an office admin to join a close-knit team. This person will primarily be responsible for sending purchase orders, confirming orders, and following up on shipping dates with our vendors, as well as working on account receivables. This is a generalist role, which will require the person to provide support for customer service, phones and other office functions when the office is busy.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all contact with suppliers to make sure that merchandise is ordered and arriving as scheduled.
- Follow up with suppliers regularly on confirmations and shipping
- Place recurring orders with suppliers based on pre-established criteria.
- Update product pricing in the system when required
- Assist with Accounts Receivables, sending out invoices and following up with customers
- Support Customer Service, Shipping and Sales when needed:
- Speak with customers to aid in entering sales orders
- Help answer phones
- Check outgoing and incoming shipments in the warehouse
Requirements
- MUST be highly detail oriented
- Must be able to reliably commute to our Long Island office 5 days a week
- Must be bright, flexible, computer-knowledgeable and familiar with Excel.
- Able to multitask, troubleshoot, prioritize and problem solve
- Ideally, be familiar with Netsuite, or an equivalent type of ERP system (i.e. SAP, Acumatica, Katana, Sage, Odoo, etc…)
- Previous office admin work experience preferred

Pay: $39,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
