Job Description
As a GCP DevOps Engineer, your role will involve supporting cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability across enterprise and product environments. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications. Your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), modern DevOps practices, and container-based deployments will be crucial in automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. You will also be expected to build and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, deploy, monitor, and optimize workloads on GCP, and implement cloud security, monitoring, and reliability best practices. Your collaboration with development and QA teams will enable faster, reliable releases while troubleshooting deployment, performance, and infrastructure issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Implement cloud security, monitoring, and reliability best practices
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to enable faster, reliable releases
- Troubleshoot deployment, performance, and infrastructure issues
Qualifications Required:
- 8+ years of relevant DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in GCP services and cloud-native architecture
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting in cloud environments
- Ability to work as an individual contributor (no architect or managerial responsibilities)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Exposure to SRE practices and reliability engineering
