Heavy Truck Driver (Long-Haul / Interstate)

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Truck Driver to join our logistics team for long-distance transportation. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across various states. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with being on the road for extended periods and have an excellent safety record.Key Responsibilities

• Long-Distance Driving: Transport goods over long distances (interstate/intercity) while strictly following delivery deadlines.
• Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety checks, including oil, tyres, and brakes, to ensure the vehicle is in top condition.
• Route Planning: Use GPS and navigation apps to plan the most efficient routes and avoid traffic or road closures.
• Cargo Management: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily trip logs, fuel receipts, and delivery challans/paperwork.
• Maintenance: Perform minor on-road repairs if necessary and report major mechanical issues to management immediately.

Requirements & Qualifications

• License: Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or professional license is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in long-haul or container truck driving.
• Record: A clean driving record with no major accidents or serious traffic violations.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle long hours behind the wheel and work night shifts as required.
• Skills: Proficiency in using smartphones and navigation apps (like Google Maps).

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month (depending on experience and trip frequency).
• Allowances: Daily "Bata" (allowance) for food and stays during outstation trips.
