Role Description:

We are looking for a .NET Developer with strong VB.NET / ASP.NET capabilities and supporting knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and web services. This role is suited for a developer who can work across mixed-technology environments, deliver enhancements and fixes, and support integration between Microsoft and Java-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technology stack components.
• Analyze requirements, prepare technical designs, and implement enhancements, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
• Work on web applications, APIs, and service integrations using REST / SOAP web services.
• Contribute to modules or integrations built using Java and Spring Boot in a multi-technology landscape.
• Troubleshoot application defects across UI, business logic, service layer, and database components.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and support teams to deliver stable releases.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, documentation, deployment support, and issue triage.
• Ensure secure coding practices, proper exception handling, logging, and maintainable code structure.
• Support upgrade, refactoring, and transformation initiatives where legacy applications are evolving to supported architectures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Strong development experience in VB.NET and ASP.NET.
• Foundational / working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in building or consuming web services (REST and/or SOAP).
• Good understanding of relational databases, SQL, data access patterns, and application troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in structured SDLC / Agile environments and support production incident resolution when needed.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C#, .NET Framework / .NET, IIS, MVC/Web Forms, and API development.
• Exposure to DevOps pipelines, version control, automated deployments, and application monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud-native patterns, containerization, or modernization efforts.
• Experience in regulated enterprise industries such as insurance, banking, or healthcare.

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per annum
