Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Senior Academic Counselor to guide students and parents regarding career opportunities, entrance examinations, and academic programs offered by Tarkashastra. The candidate will be responsible for handling inquiries, counseling prospective students, converting leads into admissions, and maintaining strong relationships throughout the student journey.

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling & Admissions

• Counsel students and parents regarding MBA, BBA, MCA and Law and other entrance preparation programs.
• Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and learning requirements.
• Recommend suitable courses and career pathways.
• Convert inquiries into admissions through effective counseling and follow-up.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, telephonic consultations, and virtual meetings.

Lead Management

• Handle leads generated through digital marketing campaigns, website inquiries, social media, walk-ins, and referrals.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
• Ensure timely follow-up with prospective students.
• Track lead status and admission conversions.

Parent Engagement

• Address parent concerns regarding course curriculum, fees, placements, and career opportunities.
• Build trust and confidence among students and parents.
• Conduct admission-related presentations and seminars.

Business Development Support

• Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.
• Participate in admission drives, seminars, webinars, education fairs, and outreach activities.
• Identify opportunities to increase enrollments and improve conversion rates.

Student Relationship Management

• Ensure smooth onboarding of newly admitted students.
• Coordinate with academic and operations teams for student support.
• Maintain long-term relationships with students for referrals and renewals.

Team Leadership

• Guide and mentor junior academic counselors.
• Share best counseling practices and conversion strategies.
• Support management in training and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 1–5 years of experience in Academic Counseling, Education Sales, EdTech, Training Institutes, or Admission Counseling.
• Experience in MBA, BBA, Law, IPM, or Entrance Exam counseling will be preferred.
