Responsibilities

• Draft and analyze deeds, agreements, powers of attorney, title reports, and other documents related to real estate transactions and settlements.
• Advise real estate agents and their clients on legal matters, representing the title company throughout the settlement process.
• Review land records to ensure accurate and clear property ownership documentation.
• Assist in resolving title claims and other legal issues that may arise during settlement processes.
• Engage in internal and external communications to facilitate smooth settlement experiences for all parties involved.

Must-Have Skills:

• Active license to practice law in Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate settlement or title review.
• Expertise in preparing and reviewing real estate legal documents.
• Demonstrated ability to provide legal counsel to clients and real estate professionals.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with trust documents and powers of attorney in real estate contexts.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Adaptability to handle various legal matters beyond title and settlement work.
