Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Vapi. The Reporter will research, investigate, and develop news stories from idea generation through to final copy, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and balance in all reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include attending events, conducting interviews, verifying facts, and writing news articles and features on deadlines. The Reporter will collaborate with editors and other team members to shape story angles, refine drafts, and align coverage with organizational priorities. The role may also involve capturing basic photos or multimedia elements, monitoring relevant beats, and staying informed about local and sector-specific developments.

Qualifications

• Strong reporting skills, including researching, interviewing, and fact-checking to produce accurate and timely news coverage.
• Excellent writing and news writing abilities, with the capacity to craft clear, concise, and engaging stories for diverse audiences.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with sources, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Basic multimedia skills, such as capturing photos, short videos, or audio, and collaborating with digital teams when needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Vapi, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with newsroom workflows, ethical journalism standards, and AP or similar style guidelines is preferred.
• Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including word processing, online research, and content management systems.
