Qualification
- Education (minimum/desirable): University degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: At least 7 +years of maintenance, facilities, and utilities and 2 to 3 years of people management experience in utility as Lead,
- Experience can preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
Accountabilities
- Responsible for all Plant Engineering (Utilities) functions in the Plant: Utilities operations, Utilities Maintenance and Sustainability Engineering
- Accountable for high reliability site utilities and related facilities operations and maintenance strategy and execution
- Leads, develops, and trains high performing utilities & related facilities function and staff
- Member of the site Plant Engineering team
- Owner for site utilities and related facilities operations and maintenance budget and long-term asset management plan
- Responsible for the engineering owned actions for sustainability program
- Reports KPIs for function and drives continuous improvements
- Responsible for Site Carbon Portfolio & Net Zero road Map implementation

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
Must Have In-depth Knowledge & application at
- General Utility – Chilled water Generation & Distribution setup, Cooling s, Steam Boiler, Chilled Brine Generation setup
- All EHS & Statutory compliance related to Utilities
Good To Have
- Clean Utilities Like - Purified water, Nitrogen Gas,
- HVAC – for Pharma Applications High Side Comprising Chillers Low side- AHUs & related ancillaries.
- Knowledge / hands on – SAP-PM,
- Carbon emission reduction – Knowledge & Skill set at identifying and executing projects
- Good to Have: Working in a GMP environment & systems, Paperless setup, Automated Utility operations.
Leadership (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change)
- Be the Influencer to Lead and embrace change through effective communication and Change management
- Know how on long term strategy development & deployment in alignment to Organization Vision and Business Goals
Decision-making and Autonomy (The capacity and authority to make organizational decisions, autonomy in decision-making, complexity of decisions, impact of decisions, problem-solving)
- Responsible for all decisions in General Utility area Day to Day activity
- In consultation with Line manager for cGMP related and Strategy related decision
Interaction (The span and nature of one’s engagement with others when performing one’s job, internal and external relationships)
- Manufacturing/Production, Utilities Operations, Instrument Calibration/Metrology, Spare Parts Manager, EHS, Engineering
Innovation (The required level of scientific knowledge, knowledge sharing, innovation and risk taking)
- Should have a passion to learn, understand & bring in new technology in the operation domain of Utility, HVAC area
Complexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations)
Should have a bent to work in culturally diverse team
