Job Description
Job Purpose:
Support site operations by leading regulatory compliance activities, managing statutory approvals and driving coordination with regulatory authorities, government bodies and external stakeholders to ensure timely compliance, effective institutional engagement and uninterrupted project operations.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Provide regulatory and corporate affairs oversight at the project site and support senior leadership in managing approvals, authority interactions and external stakeholder coordination
.
- Monitor all site-level regulatory obligations, approvals, licenses and statutory permits and ensure timely compliance and renewals
.
- Track regulatory amendments, notifications, circulars and policy developments relevant to project operations and assess their implications for site activities
.
- Lead preparation and review of documentation required for regulatory submissions, approvals, compliance reports and official correspondence
.
- Maintain and periodically review regulatory trackers covering site permits, approvals, inspection schedules, compliance submissions and renewal timelines
.
- Coordinate with site operations, environment, safety and project teams to obtain operational inputs required for regulatory filings and authority submissions
.
- Engage with local regulatory bodies, district administration, government departments and external institutional stakeholders to facilitate approvals, inspections and compliance requirements
.
- Support corporate affairs activities related to government coordination, external stakeholder engagement and project-related institutional interactions
.
- Coordinate external visits, authority meetings and site-level engagement activities involving government officials and regulatory representatives
.
- Monitor regulatory inspections, notices and authority communications and coordinate preparation of responses in consultation with internal stakeholders and the Legal team where required
.
- Oversee maintenance of regulatory documentation, compliance records, correspondence archives and stakeholder interaction records to support audits and reviews
.
- Prepare periodic regulatory and corporate affairs reports highlighting approval status, pending submissions, stakeholder matters and potential risks impacting operations
.
- Identify regulatory or external stakeholder risks, compliance gaps or approval delays and initiate corrective actions in coordination with relevant internal teams
.
- Support communication and coordination activities associated with local administration, statutory bodies and project-related external matters where required
.
Qualifications & Skill
s:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, Engineering or related disciplin
e.
- 8-12 years of experience in regulatory affairs, corporate affairs, government liaison or statutory compliance preferably in infrastructure, mining, energy or other regulated industrie
s.
- Strong understanding of regulatory approvals, site compliance requirements and government engagement processe
s.
- Experience managing regulatory submissions, inspections, authority coordination and institutional stakeholder interaction
s.
- Strong documentation, regulatory tracking and stakeholder coordination skill
s.
- Strong communication, relationship management and authority liaison capabilitie
s.
- Proficiency in MS Office and regulatory compliance tracking system
