Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will provide personalized reading instruction that strengthens literacy skills and comprehension. You will design and deliver lessons that cater to each student's unique learning needs.

• Plan and conduct reading lessons tailored to individual student goals and skill levels.
• Guide students in comprehension strategies, including summarizing, predicting outcomes, and identifying main ideas.
• Support vocabulary growth, phonics development, and reading fluency improvement.
• Track student progress and provide actionable feedback for continued growth.
• Adapt teaching techniques to meet diverse learning styles and address reading challenges.
• Communicate with students and families to establish objectives and monitor learning progress.
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong understanding of literacy development and reading instruction methods.
• Experience teaching or tutoring reading across multiple grade levels or skill ranges.
• Ability to explain reading strategies clearly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide and motivate learners.
• Organizational skills for lesson planning and monitoring student progress.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in English, Literacy Studies, or a related field.
• Experience assisting students with reading difficulties or learning differences.
• Certifications in literacy or language arts tutoring or teaching.
