About The Role

We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join our team at Respawn Entertainment, a studio renowned for its award-winning games such as Apex Legends, Titanfall, and Star Wars™ Jedi titles. As a UX Designer on Apex Legends, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience across our live service franchise. You will be responsible for designing, managing, and executing UI/UX features and interactive flows from initial concepts through to final release.

Working closely with cross-functional teams including experience design, engineering, production, and creative leadership, you will help shape the future of the Apex Universe. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, fast-paced project and make a tangible impact on millions of players worldwide. Your work will be instrumental in creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging user interfaces that elevate gameplay and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional game development experience, working within game engines
  • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma or comparable software
  • Experience in rapid prototyping to validate design concepts
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver AAA-quality features
  • Solid understanding of graphic design principles, including typography, layout, color theory, and iconography
  • Portfolio demonstrating innovative UX solutions and problem-solving skills
  • Experience designing UX for AAA titles, multiplayer, live service games, or FPS genres
  • Knowledge of interaction design across console, PC, and mobile platforms
  • Degree in Interaction Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, or related HCI discipline

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lead, principal, and design stakeholders to manage and drive UX-heavy features from concept to completion on a live product
  • Work with Experience Design team leadership to define, develop, and implement best practices, templates, and guiding principles for UX design
  • Independently develop high-level feature and pipeline solutions aligned with gameplay, product, and accessibility standards
  • Iterate on design concepts based on feedback, requirements, and creative direction to ensure optimal user experience
  • Partner with engineers and UI technical designers to implement and refine UI/UX features
  • Coordinate with producers and directors to estimate, prioritize, and deliver work within project timelines
  • Maintain a collaborative, inclusive attitude, demonstrating active listening, adaptability, and mentorship to team members
  • Present work clearly, articulating design rationale and decisions to stakeholders and team members
