Senior Solutions Engineer

As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Sumo Logic, you will play a crucial role in contributing to, architecting, and leading in the design and development of new infrastructure automation projects. Working closely with a team of highly skilled individuals, you will tackle complex hybrid infrastructure challenges by providing scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing complex and well-architected enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Improving existing IT-managed systems, solutions, and processes through architectural reviews and design enhancement initiatives.
• Applying deep experience in DevOps methodologies to infrastructure, cloud, identity, integration, and network solutions.
• Enhancing systems for strict compliance adherence, security guardrails, and cost optimization.
• Leading the re-architecting of IT systems and processes for streamlined, scalable, and resilient implementations.
• Engaging in provisioning solutions for enterprise organizations across multiple environments and infrastructure types.
• Building partnerships and collaborating with other teams to create solutions that benefit all parties.

Qualifications required for this role include:

• 6+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership and delivery.
• Expertise in developing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure architectures.
• Familiarity with observability and cost optimization in application, server, and cloud settings.
• Proficiency in working with Fortinet network devices, DNS optimization, VPN management, identity providers, certificate management, and authentication.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and writing automations and system integrations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with an on-call schedule for enterprise systems during daylight hours.
• Continuous learning and deep technological curiosity.

Desirable qualifications include:

• Regional IT site leadership experience.
• Knowledge of specific technologies such as ADP, Azure, and GCP.
• Passion for agile development and familiarity with Jira, sprints, and pointing.
