ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Inventory & Demand Forecasting Manager to lead and optimize inventory flow across the business. This role is responsible for developing accurate, data-driven demand forecasts that enable efficient supply chain operations and ensure inventory is strategically aligned with demand across all locations and channels.
Sitting at the intersection of Buying/Merchandising, Finance and Supply Chain, this role plays a critical part in driving sales performance, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory, and improving overall working capital efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demand Forecasting & Planning
- Build and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts across stores and e-commerce.
- Incorporate inputs from Merchandising (launches, promos, trends) and Finance (targets, budgets).
- Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust based on sales performance, seasonality and trends.
2. Inventory Optimization
- Set and manage target inventory levels (weeks of supply, safety stock, reorder points).
- Identify and mitigate risks including stockouts, excess, and slow-moving inventory.
- Rebalance inventory across locations and channels to optimize availability and efficiency.
3. Replenishment Execution
- Oversee replenishment planning across all stores and distribution centers.
- Ensure timely and accurate purchase order recommendations aligned to forecasts and targets.
- Partner with Supply Chain to align on lead times, inbound flow, and constraints.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Buying/Merchandising, Finance, and Supply chain to align forecasts, inventory plans, and financial targets.
- Support assortment planning, promotions, and OTB processes.
- Ensure alignment between demand plans and operational execution.
5. Reporting & Insights
- Track and report on key KPIs (In-stock rate, stockouts, Inventory turns, Weeks of supply, Aged inventory).
- Build dashboards and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Identify trends and drive continuous improvement in forecasting and inventory processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- 4–8+ years in inventory planning, demand planning, or merchandising analytics.
- Experience in retail environments (multi-SKU, fast-moving categories preferred).
- Exposure to beauty, skincare, or similar categories is a strong asset.
Skillset
- Strong analytical capabilities; advanced Excel required (SQL/BI tools a plus)
- Experience with demand forecasting methodologies, including baseline and event-driven planning.
- Understanding of inventory fundamentals (lead times, safety stock, sell-through, replenishment)
- Ability to combine data-driven insights with sound business judgment.

- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong focus on process and execution.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority.
- Proactive and solution-oriented; able to identify issues and take action early.
- Clear and effective communicator, especially with non-technical stakeholders.

- Consistently high in-stock rates with minimal excess inventory.
- Improved inventory turns and reduction in aged or obsolete stock.
- Accurate, reliable forecasts that drive business confidence and decision-making.
- Strong cross-functional alignment across Buying, Finance, and Supply Chain.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify, NetSuite/ERP systems, or inventory planning tools.
- Experience building or scaling inventory and planning processes in a high-growth retail environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
