Job Description
1. Complete skill set required for firefighting (driving of fire lender, ambulance, firefighting in different scenarios.)
2. Use various equipment and gear to surpass and control fire, search for rescue occupants etc. use water hoses, water
pumps, and fire extinguishers to put out fires.
3. Locate and rescue victims in emergencies, such as chemical fires, short circuit fires etc. Responder efficiently to
emergency calls and perform firefighting operations along with other crew members.
4. Firefighters must also be able to act quickly under pressure, to connect hoses to fire hydrants operate pumps to give
power to water hoses, climb ladder and special tools to break through out any debris to rescue victims.
5. Firefighters may specialize in hazardous material work or have special training to fight wildfires using heavy equipment
and other methods such as digging fire lines.
6. Performs site rounds to identify any potential risk of fire and verify conditions of all firefighting equipment installed in the
premises.
7. Spot inspection for HOT work & Height work. Identify risk and report supervisor or site HSE contact.
8. Responds appropriately to non-emergency calls and replace smoke detectors, batteries and operate fire alarm panel.
9. He should be able to carry out weekly fire pump testing independently.
10. Should manage all sorts of emergencies (emergency not just involving fire- it can include falling of trees, tree-cutting,
animal rescue, flood situation, water removal chemical spillages etc.)
11. Report to the Engineer in charge and collecting orders of the day within the defined scope of work.
12. Fire tender checking and cleaning.
13. 5S of pump houses and water level tank level monitoring [fire & safety checklist provided by HSE Dept].
Technical Competency
Basic Qualification: ITI / Diploma in any technical branch along with 6 months to 1 year certification course in firefighting &
safety affiliated by recognized College / University. Able to speak, read & write local language.
Skill Requirement for ERT:
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Practical skills in operating and using tools.
Decision making skills.
Physical stamina a high level of physical fitness.
Ability to respond quickly and remain calm.
A high level of self-discipline.
Ability to follow instructions and regulations.
Initiative during rescue operations.
Accuracy in writing incident reports.
Should have heavy vehicle license for tender and ambulance driving.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
