Job Description
The location is on Nuns'Island
3 days in the office are mandatory
This role is pivotal in managing and processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position will work under the direction of the Head of Payables.
Key Responsibilities:
· Daily email checking of accounts payable emails
· Timely and accurate entry of supplier invoices in to accounting software
· Ensure invoice details are accurate as per contract stipulations
· Ensure relevant approvals are obtained prior to payment/processing
· Work actively with the team to assist them in resolving invoice discrepancy issues
· Responsible for producing a weekly report of payables to be processed
· Weekly payment posting into accounting software
· Maintain documentation of policies and procedures
· Recording AR invoices in accounting database
· Reviewing aged payables/receivable list; perform monthly revaluations
· Run weekly bank reconciliation reports for multi-currency accounts
· Assist with the preparation of timely and reliable monthly accounts package
Qualifications
· 2+ years’ experience in a related position
· Education in accounting or another relevant field
· Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
· Great interpersonal skills
· Experience working under pressure
· Strong organization, multi-tasking, project coordination and administration skills
· Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
· Proficiency with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
· Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
· High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
· Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
· Ability to work independently, as well as part of a cross-functional team
· Experience working with accounting and tax software is considered an asset - such as Microsoft 365
